Fundamental Mechanics and Key Controls:

1. Movement: Use W, A, S, D for directional movement. Learn to “strafe” (move sideways while facing forward) and “counter-strafe” (briefly tap the opposite directional key when stopping to achieve instant accuracy) for precise peeking and engagements.
2. Shooting: Left-click to fire. Understand that different weapons have distinct recoil patterns. Practice “spray control” by moving your mouse to compensate for recoil, especially with automatic rifles like the AK-47 and M4A4. Rendered viewangle adjustments due to recoil are now calculated per frame (May 21, 2025 update), offering more precise feedback.
3. Crosshair Placement: Always aim at head height. Pre-aiming at common enemy positions dramatically reduces reaction time needed for a kill.
4. Utility Usage: Learn the effective uses of each grenade type. Practice “molly lineups” (throwing Molotovs from specific spots to land in strategic areas) and “smoke executes” (coordinated smoke throws to blind defenders). The AK-47 fire sound was shortened in the May 15, 2025 update, and body shot impact sounds are more audible.
